Welcome to Nixon Wrinkle Ranch
Located in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, our puppies are home bred and raised from health-tested, CKC Champion Show Dogs with wonderful temperaments. We raise our puppies in our home on the Puppy Culture Program to ensure each puppy goes to their new family with a sound temperament.
Our breeding philosophy
We believe in only purposefully and selectively breeding to preserve the Shar- Pei breed standard. Every step is taken to bring out the next generation of quality, focusing on health, temperament, and adherence to breed standards. Our open transparency ensures prospective adopters understand our dedication. * We will not bred a litter until we have families on our waiting list to ensure every Nixon Wrinkle Ranch puppy goes to a welcoming, prepared home.
Our commitment to excellence
Nixon Wrinkle Ranch is proud to be members in good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club, The Chinese Shar-Pei Club of Canada, and Grey Bruce Kennel & Obedience Club. We are participants in OFA health testing, SPAID and POAG-PLL testing. We are committed to using The Puppy Culture Program and advocates of 'For The Love of Purebred Dogs'. Our breeding program is designed to produce temperaments that are dependable, confident, curious, and stable, yet playful and cuddly.
Meet our crew:
Miss Ryley was the matriarch of our breeding program here at Nixon Wrinkle Ranch. She was a very distinguished SHar-Pei and very true to the Standard in temperament among other features.("alert, regal, dignified, intelligent and extreme in its devotion to family") Ryley was a Champion Show dog herself and has provided the dog show fancy with several top winning show dog:
- Gumby's Hey Now your all allstar NWR (Smash),
- Nixon Wrinkle Ranch Fawn over Moi (Remi),
- Periwrinkles Girl on Fire with Wrinkle Ranch (Ellcee),
- Wrinkle Ranch Little Miss Sure Shot (Phoebe).
Phoebe is from the litter of Miss Ryley x CH Periwrinkles Rackin 'em Up With Wrinkle Ranch (Reign). Pheobe is a very loving, sweet companion who does not enjoy all the fuss that goes with being a show dog. She is humble and enjoys being a faithful companion as her job. She has a beautiful headpiece and temperment that is admired by all. Phoebe has had two litters and is a fantastic mother and will spend the entire 8 weeks closeby and training her puppies. She enjoys walking and nudging her humans when they don't seem to be giving her enough room on the sidewalk, or need to avoid something blocking the sidewalk. (in her opinion) :)
Daisy: Our Energetic Cream Dilute Horsecoat
Daisy, the delightful offspring of Phoebe and Periwrinkles Cue, is a vibrant Cream Dilute Horsecoat. This spirited girl has a passion for running and chasing, always on the move and full of energy. Her alertness and loyalty to our family make her truly special.
Currently, Daisy is undergoing her health testing, ensuring she remains in top shape. One of her favorite activities is the Lure Course, where she can showcase her speed and enthusiasm!
Miss Maisee (Phoebe x Cue, repeat breeding) is a stunning red fawn brush coat. Currently in training to become a show dog, she will also serve as a support dog for her co-owner, Jorden. Health testing is planned for her in the future.
Training and Development
Miss Maisee's training regimen is tailored to enhance her natural abilities and ensure she excels in the show ring. With a focus on obedience, agility, and socialization, her training sessions are designed to build her confidence and showcase her unique personality. As she progresses, Miss Maisee will not only learn to perform under the spotlight but also develop the skills necessary to provide emotional support, making her a versatile companion for Jorden.
Hampton is an impressive addition to our family, hailing from a reputable breeder in the USA. He is the offspring of Good Fortune BAOWOW Royale BCAT and GCHS CH Good Fortune ROMANS Royal Revenge. Currently, Hampton is undergoing training to become a show dog.
Hampton is clear of POAG and CNV 6, and we will ensure that all necessary health testing is completed prior to any breeding. This remarkable dog is co-owned with Paul Martin.
